Apple harvest in full swing. Just like rugby our especially British past time apple season is here once again with gusto. All of the assortments of apple fruit are approaching shortly in my plot.
I used to acquire a gift box of apples to my door, until I set up my individual apple orchard many years previously. This year I have some of the nicest, largest, prettiest harvests ever. We are fortunate, heaps of sun, heaps of rainfall, lots of fresh weather conditions all at really the precise time.
Because I'm receiving such a immense harvest this year, I suppose others are too. I'm going to share with you one of my guidelines for safekeeping apples.
I employ black ink only paper for storage in open timber enclosers. Coloured ink can have poisonous metals in, and open timber containers permit atmosphere to flow around the apple.
